Winch mount/bumper for Limited

Just came across this thread about a winch mount for the 5th gen limited, and decided to re-post my mod:

At this point in time we really arent interested in making a version for the limited. If we continue to get more people asking about one, then maybe we will consider it.

Has anyone found any instructions on how to cut the Limited bumper to make it fit? Or even a high res picture would be sufficient.

C4 if you have customers who has done it already, please refer.

I'm prepping my 2017 LE for an over-landing trip (so far had been a passenger only).
No offense, unless the whole car is fully armored, on 285 tires and covered with mud to the roof, I find full bumpers really ugly. Low profile bumper option looks so appealing, it makes a lot more aggressive look while still preserving elegance, adds a lot more protection, lights and winch option.

My plan was to trim off the bumper at the bottom + adding the low-profile bumper, until i found none of 4 manufacturers I found so far selling the subject have LE option.

Any help with it is really appreciated.

I know its an old tread. But I would also be interested in a bumper for the limited 2011 4r

2019 Limited. I'm looking for something similar to the ARB Summit mainly for deer protection...not so much for a winch. So far the only option I seem to be able to find is the Hefty Aluminum Full Guard that's linked above in this thread. Are there other options?

I've also seen where people have first switched out the front bumper to a TRD bumper. Don't know that I want to go to that extreme.

I have a limited and I believe the issue with the bumper is the chrome horizontal bar. You’ll need to cut that and also remove your Oem metal bumper support to be able to use any of the metal bumpers.
The new metal bumpers will bolt into the same location as your Oem bumper support.

The big issue is, once you cut up your limited bumper the chrome part will look weird perhaps. Unless one of these manufacturers can make one the same width and height as the center chrome bar, as those come apart leaving you with only the chrome near the fogs.

For me, I swap to the Sr5/TRD bumper for more options. It’s plug and play except for the Oem metal support. But if you get a metal bumper, you won’t need it.

I decided to go with a Shrockworks front bumper as they include custom made trim filler pieces for the Limited so you don't have to cut up the old bumper. Three months lead time...will report back when I mount it.

Hey guys im new to the Forum, i have a Limited also, i was wondering how the C4 Fab low-pro looks on the limited. im ok with cutting the bumper, just worried about the sides of the bumper, do they hang super low next to the bumper? or is it very little trimming that would have to be done at the bottom of either side of the bumper?

how did your bumper end up fitting? was there an issue with the limited skid plate meeting with the bumper? just curious if i need to buy an aftermarket skid so they join correctly

you wont run into issues with the stock skid, but you may run into issues with aftermarket skids depending on how they conform in the front where the shockworks filler plate also mounts

Good news, finished my BudBuilt Hidden Winch Mount on my 2016 Limited with a Smittybilt Gen2 X2O COMP 10000 Waterproof Winch 98510 with stock bumper. I will post a new thread in the next few days...check my profile for the latest thread.

I am on a Limited platform and looking for ideas.

Love the rear high clearance bumper. First for me is a Warn slim winch bumper. Just have to cut a bunch of plastic with no way to tell if I'm doing it right ....

The guys at Greenlane Offroad have said they would manufacture a Limited aluminum winch bumper if there is someone up that way (pacific northwest) that they could do a fitment on. This would be my ideal solution based on weight, anyone up for it for the good of the cause??!
