finally found out the problem now, it is made by the window deflectors. i took them off and the wind noise are gone. but very sucks that the rear window's window channel molding got pushed out a little bit and there cause another major wind noise. i have to lower the rear windows slightly a bit to eliminate the noise. what a pain in the butt. i pulled the moldings out and re-insert them and let the sun heat it up tomorrow a bit and see thing help. if not i'm gonna call toyota to check with their warranty/extended warranty will replace all window channels for free. very very disappointed with those aftermarket window deflectors. i am mad because i only have the rig for less than 2 weeks and those deflectors already kind of ruin my nice rig. :(

The wind noise doesn't bother me. I've got the stereo and my exhaust that makes plenty more noise to drown out the wind noise. NO biggy.

What brand deflectors did you get btw?

Hello,

As previously asked, what brand of wind deflectors are you using? I have no wind noise issues using WeatherTech WeatherFlectors on the front and rear of my 4Runner.

i forgot the brand, but it has a little red sticker on the deflectors, i ordered it through the dealership shince they said i will have 10% discount on all parts in the 90days we purchase the car from them. now the deflectors are sitting in my garage now. rather than dealing with the noise, i prefer to enjoy the quiet cabin. :( maybe i am the odd one having problems with them.

Oh, i found my invoice, the brand is called "wade", anyone heard about the quality of this brand? i paid $67.96 for 4 deflectors.

Hello,

I have not heard of WADE and did a Google Search. Is THIS the product you installed, then removed? HERE is the same product on WadeAutomotive website.

yes! exactly that's the one. i regret that i did not do some research here at first place. and the only thing i have to take care of now is to eliminate the rear windows wind noise/leak. :( :( :( once the speed hit 50+, i really have to lower the rear windows 1/2 inch to get rid of the noise. also i realized that the deflectors already made some shape changes on my rear windows channels. hope the heat from the sun can flatten the areas that has been pushed out. the worst case i guess i have to go back for a warranty replacement.

I have Wade brand deflectors but mine are the ones that stick on the outside not the in-channel ones.. no wind noise problem here. I bought the AVS ventshade in-channel ones before and they didn't fit properly so i took them off.

after one warm (90F) day of sunshine with all the windows down for 4 inches. the heat finally warm up the shaped channels and everything goes back to OEM flat, test drove it and all wind noise are finally gone!!! thank god!!!! i guess i pulled out those in-channel early enough before the channels were really mold in shape. my T4R now goes back to superb quiet, :D :D

** also dealership is willing to do a full refund on my already installed deflectors too!!!! very good customer serivces.
