Window Mechanism problem

I've been having some issues with my drivers side backseat window motor for a little bit now. At first it would go down fine and then the last quarter of the way slow way down. I assumed the window motor was going and would have to replace it soon. Yesterday someone tried to roll it down and it stopped working all together.

Today I took the door panel off to inspect and found that the window motor itself works fine, however it doesn't seem to grab the window as it goes up. I was able to align it temporarily to hold the window up, but the first time I roll it down it will hop off again. I attempted to bend the arm a little bit to get it to grab the window but didn't want to break it by applying too much force.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any help will be appreciated!

sounds like something broke while possibly binding. move the glass up and hold it up with duck tape and remove the regulator and check it out.

There doesn't seem to be anything broken. The arm that raises up and pushes the window up simply doesn't line up with the bottom of the window. It rises next to the window instead of underneath it (unless I hold it there and get it locked in between the wheel and arm)

Is your window off track?
This might cause the arm not to line up with the bottom of the window.
Does the mechanism has all its 10 mm bots attached to the door frame?
How about the track? it is also attached to the door frame with 2X 10 mm bolts.

Finally, check the plastic ring that supposed to be with the window glass at the bottom. This is the nut that keeps the window glass and the arm together.

it should go IN a little track on the bottom of the window frame.

can you get a pic?

Okay thanks so much for the replies! After watching the posted video it seems the track at the bottom of the glass isn't there! It must have broken off the window and be somewhere in the door and I didn't see it. Any clue as to how to fix it? Can I just epoxy it to the glass? Do I need to replace glass? Track?

SO the plastic strip at the bottom of the glass is no longer there? It should be inside the door, it is too big to fall. Do you have the rubber flap under side of the door?
I am not quite sure about a strong glue to attach that plastic stripe to the glass.
