Window roll up sqeel

When I roll up my driver side window there is a terrible sqeel noise. It will occasionally go away for a few days but it always seems to come back. Rolling the window down makes no noise.

I have taken off the door pannel and lubricated all the moving parts I can see but it does not seem to help.

Any clue what this is? Power window motor??

I have not. What type of product would I use for that?

I was thinking just some wd40 or similar as a trouble-shooting tool. If the squeal goes away then you have isolated the issue and could buy a new channel for a permanent fix.

Spray silicone. Don't bother with WD40, it dissipates too quickly.
I just did mine for the same reason. They also go up/down quicker now.

Take off the door panel (10 mins max)

Is the squeal still there?

Listen and locate, it should be easy.

Don't just spray silicone or other oil in your door.

I replaced the entire window assembly for $40 on ebay and it resolved my issue.

How hard was that? I am glad it fixed your problem.

super easy. Took off the door panel and the regulator and motor was in with four very accessable bolts. 2 more bolts for the glass and it was out.
