The factory rear tints have ~20% tint. All of the rear windows are the same color. Remember... the glass is tinted and not tinted with adding a layer of film to it.
now... although its not legal in many areas to have the front windows (passenger and driver) tinted or tinted above a certain limit, I have tinted my front two windows to 20% and added a layer of 35% tint to the rear windows. Makes it much nicer now.
Legal law for us here is 0% for front windows... but everyone here does it so its not a big deal.

I just got my 05 SE tinted yesterday. I got 5% on both front windows, 20% added all back windows and no front strip. I really, really like it with the titanium silver color. I will post pics tomorrow. The messed up one window, and I am going to go back and have it redone tomorrow.

I actually had my windows tinted to 35% in the front at first... took it home for a day... did not like it one bit.. it was too light!
So.. I went back... got them to retint the whole truck this time... 20% in the front and 35% more in the back. I wanted to keep the back ones darker than the front windows.

35% is already illegal here. I've driven beside, stopped right beside a police cruiser and the police don't care.
On the other hand.. if they catch you for something else... they'll give you a ticket for the windows if they catch you. That's why.... you quickly roll down your windows when they pull you over.
But tinting is a very personal thing.... I'd rather get a shade of tint that I like rather than worrying about a ticket... which I haven't gotten since I first tinted front passenger windows. Some factory cars come with front tinted windows already... so why not?

is your interior black as well? it helps "darken"the tint if the interior is also dark. it helps fool the eye in to thinking it is darker than it is. i guess it has to do with light being reflected back at you from behind the tint. for example, i have a beige interior with 35%, and mine is much lighter looking than yours.

my interior is a not-especially dark grey. Obviously the amount of sunlight has a factor on it as well as different camera angles, it is noticeably lighter then the back however it is as dark as I wanted to risk. (the law allows me to have 50% in the front here and I thought 20% in the front would be pushing my luck)
