Got my first row (front and passenger) windows done with 15% for $50 cash.
I took my wife's new Accord V6 in to get done up with 15% all around and that cost $130. Convinced them to knock out my front two windows for another $50. 100% lifetime guarantee for ANYTHING! Nicks, cuts, bubbles...just about anything and they'll re-do your windows no questions asked.
They plugged the year, make, model into a computer and pulled down a few feet of tint from the roll above this white board on the wall. Pinned it at the bottom and then a motorized arm ran over the sheet and cut both windows out from the film. The guy takes it over to the car, hangs it up on another board next to my rig, sprays it down with soapy water and then smacks 'em on the window and squeegie's the water out. Was done in about 15-20 minutes.
Same deal applied to my wifes Accord..but that took a lot longer due to the curved rear window. But it was amazing.
I remember back when I was in high school, we'd have to go buy a roll of crappy quality tint at Pep Boys and then roll it out onto the window and then use a razor blade to cut the excess off the window. Not only would it take 3 hours to do, but the tint would end up shrinking up a few weeks later leaving behind a ton of micro bubbles and a gap around the edges! :bonk: :bonk:
