Window Trim Sealing

So having a white 4runner and old window trim/seals makes for a black streaking mess. Under mainly the rear cargo windows and back window after a good rain the truck gets black lines running down the paint. I was wondering if anyone has coated their trim with something that will prevent the dry rubber from running down my paint. Thanks for any input guys!

Are you referring to this piece?

Mine does the same thing and it's even cracking. The new part is about $45 bucks from Toyota of Newnan. I'm going to place an order for one but I need to know how to install it first.

BTW, it's part number 6829035020.

I thoight about plastidipping all my window moldings it will put another rubber coat on top of the old and possibly seal it a little better.

Yeah those pieces are the correct thing. Would like to try to stay away from replacing though, I have a feeling it is not all that easy. Going to stick to a coating that seals the rubber from running down the paint. Thanks for the replies
