Windshield Cleaning Problem

No matter what I try I can't get the windshield clean on my'04. It always has streaks and it seems like there's an oily contaminate on it. Does anyone else have this problem? My wife's Acura had a similar issue and they came out with a service bulletin about a problem with the windshiled washer hoses.

I've tried windex, that didn't help. I then tried Eagle One 20/20 auto glass cleaner. Same result. I use paper towels when cleaning the windows.

I have found that paper towels are a problem - always leaving streaking. I am now using "Lint-Free Towels", part no. 14910 from Giot's Garage with much better results. These towels are made with polypropylene fiber. Apparently paper towels have glues or binders that cause streaking. Other synthetic fiber towels should also work much better than paper towels.

Use Stoners Invisble glass and a microfiber towel. Wipe it down 2 or 3 times to guarantee all the build-up is gone.

I second the suggest for Stoners Invisible Glass. But don't use paper towels. Instead, I use a clean cotton dish cloth to apply, and a small terry cloth towel to buff off the residue. Buffing is absolutely necessary.
