Windshield tint on a *WHITE 4R* ?

Ha! I saw that picture before, I forgot it was yours. Solid tint dude. What percent tint is that? I noticed someone already asked in that thread you linked me and you didn't answer (only went through 5-7 pages to find the answer but nothing).
@Broncosi - That's a ridiculously looking 4Runner! I really like how limo tint (black tint) goes well with the white color on the 4R. Great picture, however I may have to opt for the 50% tint because that can definitely get me pulled over here in VA unfortunately
. If I had 20% front windows only with back windows untouched, I would definitely get 35% windshield but having limo tint in the back with 2 layers of 20% front windows will definitely make things a lot more darker with the windshield tint too so there's your reason when getting pulled over here in VA :dammit:

55% windscreen, 5% top piece, 15% front windows, And 5% rears

I think I am going to go with 50% windshield with a 3" strip of 3% limo tint, add another layer of 20% to the front windows and leave the 3% tint in rear alone. GOD TINTING IS SO EXCITING!

Hell yeah it is man! I see you live in South Florida, do you live in Miami by any chance? I fly down there every time Virginia Tech Hokies gets invited to the Orange Bowl. I love Miami!!! Do FL officers care about people overtinting?

In Miami and certain other parts of it yes they can be xtremely anal.. Thank god ive been fortunate..at night u cant see in my truck

Thanks slowly but surely i will get my truck where i want it....The nice thing about the Tinted front is ot keeps cool inside the truck..If you use the right film...I have top of the line film in mine..Metallic something..lol

Word. Is it considered a primary offense or a secondary offense in the state of FL? Also, I know what you mean when you can't see at night. I used to have 3% all around except the windshield so it was pretty ridiculously dark at night but I loved it so much. It made me a lot more cautious when driving at night (and day too but I had no issues seeing during the day).

Idk.but i do know when u get a ticket or one u got to take it off and then they'll do away with it(the ticket). Last i checked.
Yea it's typically a "fix it" ticket. You can also just bring a receipt from a reputable tint shop showing it was removed. I had a buddy write one up for the one ticket I got. The courts don't spend much time on this stuff, it's an in and out thing. Just a hassle for you and a loss of time.

I wish I had a friend that was in the tinting business :'(. Oh btw, that's called defrauding the court...! Getting a ticket then defrauding them out of their potential revenue by getting a note 'certifying' that you did remove the tint :biggrin2::biggrin2:. It's a fix-it ticket here too (I think?), but the police doesn't necessarily go overboard if you're a repeat offender (I've been ticketed few times and I told them every time that I'd remove it even though I had no intent of staying true to my word).

Im surprised they haven't charged me with class 2 misdemeanor yet. F U VA
EDIT: Does anybody know of a reputable tint shop that is WILLING to tint the ENTIRE windshield in Virginia Beach, or anywhere that's at least 4 hours away from Virginia Beach? Charlottesville...Maryland, DC, etc. Yes, I am willing to drive hours to get my windshield tint. The tint shop that I always go to for my tint just rejected me big time saying it won't pass state inspection (I didn't know even having 3% tint still passes the state inspection even though by law it says 35% back 50% front, so what's the difference if I add windshield tint even though the law said NO TINT SHALL BE APPLIED TO THE WINDSHIELD?). Let me know, I'm pretty sad right now.

I remember you saying you were from NC...what part of NC do you live in? I have a little lady friend that I get down with every year during the summer in Charlotte. I usually spend time with her for a week at the Hilton hotel in the City Center. Where did you get your tint done? Mind telling me the city location / prices? (windshield and front windows, 50% and 20%)
Thanks for your affair information. I'm in Wilmington NC. I had all the tint done in Raleigh NC. The owner of the shop helped me do it for free. He had a giant cutter to do all my windows and windshield.

Do you know this dude personally? I'd love for him to show me how to install the tint myself if he could do it for free. I don't mind giving him a case of beer to drive home after work if he does that favor

Haha! Yeah that's definitely not an option anymore I suppose. I think I found a local tint shop. I filled out the contact form, and the guy got back to me asking me to call him so he could lecture me on VA laws before we started talking about prices. I emailed him back and I was like, "No thank you, I am well aware of VA tint laws. I just want a price on the things I want done". At least the guy tried to save me money and or fulfilled his legal obligation to inform me that I was paying for illegal tint if I wanted it done.
Although yours were for free, do you remember how much it would have cost you if the guy had installed it himself? DId he give you a price, but backed off and offered to teach you how to install it yourself instead? If so, what was the price for the windshield tint?
