How the heck do you guys get multiple years out of wipers?! Maybe from being in Texas with 100+ temps for 60-80 days of the year and 90+ for around 200 days but the only blades that have ever lasted a year for me are Toyota OEM. I have bought wipers that are $25 each and ones that are $3 each and they always last about 6 months before they dry. Keep in mind that we don't use wipers much here... Texans basically only buy them when it's raining out lol.

I just replaced my Bosch Icons with another set of Bosch Icons except this time I went with the factory size of 17". I previously had 16" on to try and increase spring pressure psi on the blade. Early 1st gen Tacos came with 16" blades so one inch isn't too big of a deal.

I am curious, has anyone noticed if the ice melting varieties of washer fluid are more damaging to the rubber on wiper blades versus the standard issue blue stuff?

Agree on the silicone blades! I've tried every manner of blades, and the silicone ones from PIAA are amazing. Going on a couple years with them and still flawless. When you clean your windshield, run the wipers for a couple minutes after the glass has dried and it reapplies it's silicone goodness all over you windshield again.

I haven't had too many issues with their winter performance either so long as your windshield is scraped of snow and ice before you take off. During storms in the mountains they handle everything pretty well.

I got the 17" ones and they fit decently. The passenger side one is a hair long so maybe you could try a 16" on passenger side.

Figured I would once again resurrect this thread and report back on the wipers I used, since it's that time of year. Page 2 - (My Thread Posting)

Installed Bosch Icon's 17A's November 11, 2015 and Just replaced them today, practically two years later. I'm really pleased with the Icon's and decided to run them again. My cost is $15 ea ($30 pair). Not bad for wipers that lasted me through two seasons in the PNW.

I use duralast gold. The flex kind. I use small windshield wipers. Due to having a front led light bar. Original wipers would hit the led bar lol
