We discuss suspensions here. Your 1st gen has a suspension too. Should we clump them together?

Your 1st gen has lights that burn out. Our 5th gen has lights that burn out too. Should we just have one "lights" section?

You are showing your bias with your thinly veiled, petulant, muttered comments. If you want to make it personal then let's take it to pm's or report this thread to COB or Jwaldz and see what they say. Otherwise either contribute to this thread or move on.

petulant. bwahahaha. says the guy that closes down threads just because he doesn't agree with them.

then goes and starts a generic thread in a vehicle specific section.
any other member would have done that, and you would have closed the thread. but because you are a mod, you think you can do whatever you want.

Whatever you say. I will recuse myself from moderating this series of posts since you are effectively personally attacking another member of the forum who happens to be a mod. Like a regular member, I am reporting this post to the other mods and let them figure out what to do with you. Have fun.

it's been a cold snap here. I tried the bump today, and got it the first time with the heel of my hand. Landed right on target

Otherwise, the passenger wiper blade sits too low. I even f'ed around with the wiper splines while I had my cowl off a while back. The passenger wiper doesn't naturally sit on the heated strip.

Weird right! what's the point of a "windshield wiper de-icer" if they aren't de-icing the wipers.
 
You know what's interesting,
The jug I have says 32 F,
And I've seen it advertised as that before.

I just went searching, and it says 0F on their site!

Regardless, I use -40, and my wiper nozzles are currently frozen in a big block of ice :(

It seems they make the orange stuff with different temps ratings. You can see them with a quick google search. I even saw one for -45 C (-49 F)!

The wiper de-icer works fine when the vehicle is in a static condition. The problem comes after an hour or so of driving in freezing Temps and then you need your wipers. Even with the wiper de-icer on the right side will freeze a bit leaving a large swath of windshield untouched. The bump trick positions the wiper over the defroster which keeps that wiper from freezing at speed.

I've been annoyed by this when I try to flip the lever up just to clear the windshield and it just bumps up an inch. I didn't realize it was a... "feature"? Thanks for pointing it out though because now I'm not as annoyed by it haha. We are getting nice heavy, wet snow right now in Portland, and as a Michigander I did for the first time something I've always made fun of people for doing... I flipped my wipers up so they don't freeze to the windshield.

I have been around here for quite a while and I have never once - not once - seen [MENTION=66316]1engineer[/MENTION] delete a post because he didn't agree with it (and on a few occasions those posts may have been from me).

Pull your spurs in there cowboy.
 
Clean the rear window while at a stop before turning off truck to park. Rear defroster seems to work better

Apply Rain-X (the real wax-on/wax-off type) to glass and backup camera lens. I usually don't use front wipers above 50mph with a good coating.

Since someone mentioned salt spray: If you're getting sliders, consider full tread & bump-out, it helps reduce the salt spray onto the body.
The Xpel or 3M clear bra type applications make it very easy to clean grime off.

I fold a couple moving blankets and lay them on floor in cargo area. Barely takes up space, works as blanket, or something to throw on the hot asphalt to change tire.
