Wiper (mist feature) retrofit

I was wondering of I could retrofit a wiper switch assy from another Toyota like a tundra, highlander, camry etc.. as they all have a "mist" feature on the wipers.

has anyone tried it?

Do you mean to tweek the nozzles so that they spray more uniformly vs the stream-like spray now? Because I'd be very interested in this too.

No i think hes talking about the feature where you bump the windshield wiper switch and the wipers swipe the windshield one time.

Id love to have that feature.

Makes sense. Most newer cars have that feature. I simply pull down on the wiper switch and push it back up if/when I want to wipe once.

As far as a retrofit, I'm sure another control stalk from another Toyota truck will fit right in. Thing is, I'm sure they are more "pins" on the stock that will meet up with nothing on the harness. Also, pin out could be (mostly likely is) different. This is an educated guess. Signals from the stock go to some controller and the the controller in the 4Runner I'm sure doesn't have this feature. Unless someone electronically maps it all out and makes it work. BUT, [MENTION=123536]paperchasin[/MENTION] alludes to something quite practical: push down/up on the stalk. Done. Cost $0.

BUT, it would be cool.

it would be nice. I cant understand why the fully loaded 4runner does not have this feature. but my old base model truck does, it just doesn't have the delay feature. our highlander has both.
it makes no sense.

I can get these parts for free, a friend of mine works at a junkyard and I can get one to try it. he has a few camrys 05-07 so I figured I give it a shot.

I bet it would work. Theres a couple parts that i know of that come from different toyota models thatll plug and play into our 4runners. Its an easy thing to check if you can get a couple different stalks to try for free. The white paint on my wiper stalk is wearing off, in due time i was going to replace it with a highlander stalk or one that has the feature
