Wipers stuck 6" up

Frozen literally? 2005.
I cleared off all the ice and snow 4 times since last night and made sure the linkages were clear. They went up 6" after they car was warmed up and now are stuck there. They'll move 1" up or down if I blip the stick but then stay at 6". Is it just a matter of every thing thawing out? Maybe more ice stuck in a linkage somewhere?
I don't have a garage, and luckily I don't work so not a true emergency.

Ok. All back to normal. Maybe had to sit for a few minutes. Not sure how it fixed itself.

Almost lost a homemade fender linder in the slush, but I still have more of the black floormats that I used to make them if it disappears in the slush today.

Not quite fixed.
Intermittent works.
Wipers park if I let it go a full cycle, but if I blip the switch to make it wipe once, it now just stops wherever instead of wiping once and stopping.

Did I burn up my switch stalk trying to move it back and forth when it was frozen? Will it reset or relearn the single wipe if I disconnect my battery?

I took the battery cable off twice and no reset on the single sweep function. I didn't see any relays in the under hood fuse box labeled for the wipers to check. I'll have to wait until it is warmer to check my linkages for any binding. Or just deal with not being able to flick the switch on and off for a full single sweep.
