wire colors for H4 connector headlight bulb

on a 1996 4Runner SR5, the driver's side has 3 wires running to the H4 connector for the headlight bulb - the wires are red with a blue stripe, red with a green stripe, and red with a yellow stripe

the 3 wires on the passenger side headlight H4 connector are red with a white stripe, red with a green stripe, and red with a yellow stripe

can someone please explain what each color wire corresponds to? i assume common (ground?), low and high...
