Wire Hider

I am wrapping up wiring the roof lights and have 6 wires that needs to go from the roof to the engine bay.

Has anyone tried this from KC hilites? Seems like a pretty simple way to enclose the wires.

I saw a few of you guys have run it through the channel next to the windshield but I cannot seem to fit in the wires there..maybe I am missing something?

That looks like a nice product that would work... I would consider giving that a shot.

Out of curiously are all 6 wires controlling the same lights or different you need to control independently? You could consider running a single pair and doing the splice work up top to distribute power.

If you need independent control, you could also consider running a single common ground and separate lines for positive only to reduce wire count.

If you can measure the loads to confirm amp draw, perhaps you can safely fit what you need on smaller AWG wire to save space. I'm running 18 and 20 AWG to my roof lights because they use next to nothing in terms of power.

Yes, 6 wires controlling different lights --4 controls for the various lights and 2 gnd with one dedicated gnd for the big lights. I thought of combining the GNDs into a single 12/14AWG but decided against it as I have a cheapie roof rack light and might replace it down the road and at that point it would be a simple remove and re-install.

Appreciate your suggestion--how did you run your wires from the top to the bay? Just along the side channel? Can i request you for a picture when you find some time?

There's definitely a channel on both sides of the windshield, however 6 wires is a lot. That KC rubber piece looks like a good solution
