Wiring Lighted Rocker Switches in Series

I wired my 4 contura illuminated rocker switches in parallel. After running them like this for a while I am not happy with how hot they get with the interior lights on. (there are two lights per switch. one that illuminates with the interior lights and another that illuminates with the accessory). What am I missing that is causing so much power to run through the lights?

Clear: Upper light positive
Yellow: Lower Light Positive
Black: Ground

u might need to use diodes or somthing.
