Thanks! I originally had them set at .85 but after letting them settle for a little bit I decided to move them up to the 1.75 setting. It ended up setting all four corner within about a 1/4" of each other. The last time I measured from the center of the fender to the floor they were at just about 36".

I see from your list of mods that you've installed a Pioneer SPH-DA120 AppRadio 4 ... how do you like it? I'm considering the same in my '06. Could you share some pics of the final product?

Sorry, haven't been on here in a while. I like it. It does exactly what I need so I'm happy with it. Carplay can be a little glitchy at times. ie. have to unplug and plug it back in but its not a deal breaker for me.

It's been a while since I've updated this build. Not much has changed on the 4runner but after chasing some squeaks and creaks in the front end I've decided it's time for a rebuild. I knew I needed to change out my lower ball joints in the near future and upon testing them for play I realized my left front wheel bearing was going as well. So here is where we are. At this point everything up front should be brand spankin new. (aside from the inner tierods which I'll address when I have everything apart.) Man I love OEM parts. :becky:

That's gunna drive so nice and smooth after that refresh! Dibs on your old LCAs if they are OEM with OEM bushings. I'd like to take some time to try rebuilding a set with poly bushings for when my cheap aftermarket set goes south.

Thanks! yeah, I'm really looking forward to getting everything swapped out this weekend. It's been so clunky and noisy for months now so it should be a huge improvement and one less thing I need to worry about going forward. I'll shoot you a pm sometime next week about the LCA's, they are OEM with factory bushings and ball joints.
 
Well it was a very LONG weekend/week but I finally wrapped up installing the new LCA's, Tie-rod ends and hub bearings. Started the install on Saturday and ended up having my passenger side cam sleeve seized in the bushing. Spent Sunday morning cutting it out with a reciprocating saw. Then I had to wait until Tuesday to get the new sleeve in. I ended up replacing both sides with new OEM sleeves just to be on the safe side. Dropped it off at the dealership for an alignment yesterday morning and it's all back together.

I'm honestly astounded at the improvements it made. The difference is very noticeable, it feels like a brand new car. The front end is dead quiet, steering is smooth and firm and with the new hub bearings it feels like I'm riding on glass. Despite all the trouble it caused me I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Are you running any wheel spacers now? Did you run wheel spacers with your old set up with the 5100s/fj springs and 265/70 BFG tires?

How do you like your CVJ with those extended silicone boots? Any issues? I'm debating on just buying the Napa CV's or ordering a set of those.
 
Lift

What is your lift? Size and brand if you don’t mind. I’m trying to lift mine but I don’t know what to get. I want to sit just like yours but I don’t want to brake the bank either
 
This build is amazing! And I wish this thread was still alive. I recently purchased an 08 sport in blizzard pearl and this inspired me exactly what I want to do! Thanks
