Finally decided on a roof rack. Hopefully the weather holds up this weekend.
if i were you, i would get the side rail kit as well. i got it on my 07 and before that, stuff shifted as it wanted on top of the rack. thats just my 2 cents.

I plan on getting the half expo rails to swap between the front and rear when I need it. The tie downs help as well.

Loved following your build since you started. I do have a question as far as your original set up goes with the Bilstein 5100's & FJ Coils. 5100's @1.75 and the Method NV's running 265/70/17 BFG's.
How was the fitment, did you have any rubbing?? I saw where you said you removed your mud flaps and pushing the fender lining forward, did you have any other rubbing issues?

Yeah, that was the only thing that needed to be done with that setup. I never saw any rubbing after that.

They are actually set at the 1.75" setting. It gave me just about 3" of lift after everything settled. I didn't measure prior to installing them but my front fender is at 39.5" from the ground. I would go with the 885's just because I like a bit firmer of a ride. A lot of people say that going above .85 with the 885's will cause problems but I've been running them for over a year and never had any issues. I'll actually be selling my front setup in the next week or so if you're interested.
If he's not interested in the springs let me know. I may be, stock ones suck!

Finally picked up some coilovers. Found some King 2.5" remote reservoir coilovers so I had them sent off to DownSouth Motorsports for a full rebuild and had them converted to extended travel. I also have some Superbumps from Wheelers Offroad on their way. Looking forward to the weekend so I can start the install.

Spent the day putting in the Kings. Then met up with a nice guy from the Tacomaforums and had the reservoir mounts welded on. I also had to swap out the CVJ axle on the driverside with a new one since the old one got a cut in the boot. LCA skids are definitely in the near future cause that gets old kick.
After the install the front was sitting really high so I ended up taking out about a half an inch preload, luckily I had a spanner wrench from an old set of coilovers and found out I'm able to adjust the preload without taking them completely out. Got it all dialed in an now it rides like a dream. All in all I'm really happy with these so far, looking forward to taking them out and stretching their legs.
