worthwile modding to a D.O.A. racing engine

I have a 4 cyl
D.O.A. Racing Engines Formula Toyota Competition Engine Assembly
D.O.A. Racing Engines (more specifically it's the one at the bottom of the page with the picture)
it has 185hp i was wondering if it's possible to up that abit or is it just not a very good hp/$ ratio.

I didn't buy it, but i have it. One could argue though with it's reputation for durability...

doesnt the V6 have about the HP stock? theyre cheaper and go for well over 200k

The 3.0 pushes about 150hp, the 3.4 makes 190hp or so.

Rockcrawler, what's the question? You've got a DOA longblock and you want to squeeze more HP out of it? I'd call DOA and ask them, but intake and exhaust come to mind...

4.3 swap somes to mind.... there is only so much a 22re can give...

What gearing is in your diffs? What size tire are you running? Maybe changing gears will get you the power your after.

what can you usually do to upgrade intake / exhaust? A cold air intake perhaps... how much extra hp you think it would give me?

holy crap batman thats 4k for 180hp HEELLLZZZZ NOOOOOO
4000 can get you into a 7M-GTE 267hp 264ftlbs.
if you have it already then your stuck with gold brick in my opinion those 22re's from DOA were meant for celica's not 4runners.

4k could have got my mr2 on e85. about 350hp at least...but thats a hole different motor so I'll shut up.
