Looking to buy a set of 4 16" FJ TRD Wheels (not sure what the technical name of the wheels are). Here is a pic of the type wheel I want to buy. I would really like brand new ones, but will think about used it they are in good condition. Thanks

well if you want brand new ones go to the dealer, other wise good luck. you and just about everyone else wants a set it seams, ive personally never seen a set for sale. from what i understand they are one of the strongest toyota 4x4 wheels, right under the fzj80/lx450 wheels. and they look good too

yeah may as well go to the dealer, i think they only want $250 a wheel for them, at least thats what they were last time i look about a month ago.

cant buy new from the dealers. these are limited edition TRD FJ rims and toyota only wants them on FJs. to get new ones from the dealers you have to turn in an exact set that are messed up. can probably get new from an aftermarket place, think i have seen some for $330 or so.

I forgot to add that I live in Springfield, Mo. The best price I found was $709 for a set of 4 shipped to my door. Don't know if I should spend that much on wheels. I really like them, but I don't know how good they would look on my 3rd Gen. Any thoughts??

who told you that?

I'm not sure about the Silver ones, but i know for sure you cannot buy the black or gun metal ones at the dealer. I have tried this, I even had connections with some of the people in different dealerships. They require a VIN from a Trail Team FJ, Which i was able to easily obtain. They then required me to have a reason for purchasing them. (there had to be a logical reason) I told him to tell the guys at TRD that i had some nasty curb rash. TRD then required a claim from my insurance. It's a ridiculous mess to try to snag these brand new. Toyota lost out on making some money from me and i care care less!

The silvers should be easier to get but good luck!

yeah they are missing out on quite a few sales, but they sure are doing good on what it takes to get them new for other vehicles, would make you feel real good if you did have them on.

BRAND NEW IN THE BOX $149.00 each or $596 for 4 or $745.00 for 5. Shipping additional. Send me you zip for a shipped quote.

you can get them, just tell them you want a second set for snow tires or for off road tires. thats what my old neighbor did. he had a tacoma. i guess some guys at dealers are just pricks

i guess. I tried 3 different dealers with any excuse i could think of, I used the extra set for (just in case factor) but they wouldn't budge. maybe things have changed.

Gosh back then when i tried i could have snagged a whole set of black ones for $600 and some change. They have gotten expensive!

I am not sure why any dealer would tell you that. The Black ones were the Special edition wheels not the silver. These wheels are readily available and the price has not gone up. I understand the special edition wheel requires a vin number to get them released, but those too have not gone up in price. I can sell 60 of these today for $149.00. They are in stock and ready to ship.
