WTB 1999-2002 4Runner, Winston-Salem, NC area

Title says mostly all. Looking for a 4runner of any trim really, under ~180k miles or so. Must be a 4x4 automatic, very much want a sunroof as well. Leather preferable but not necessary. Willing to drive up to 4-5 hours or so, as long as the vehicle is right. Feel free to comment or PM, I'll check out whatever you're offering.

Upon finding the right vehicle I will be selling my current car (2011 Honda CR-Z, 28k miles), unless you're interested in it as a trade. Can have cash/cashier's check.

There is a guy in Walburg that pretty much sells only runners and tacos in these years. Usually has some pretty nice ones. And you would only have to drive a few minutes not hours.

So I got royally screwed today.

I found a vehicle on ebaymotors right outside of Mt Airy, NC, at Creed Enterprises. Small mom and pop type dealership. 2001 4runner, great condition, everything I wanted. I called the guy and set up a time to go see it today; test drove etc went well. We went inside, and he agreed to sell it to me for 8k (original asking price was 9k). I tell him ok, I'm going to go collect the check for my vehicle (already had it appraised at Carmax) and come right back with a cashiers check. This was around 1:30pm, and his shop is about an hour from my house. I do exactly as I say, and in the meantime he texts me actually I wont be able to get the paperwork done until tomorrow, so just come in the morning. I say ok. After I have ALREADY SOLD MY CAR AND GOT HIS CASHIERS CHECK, he calls me and says oh sorry I didnt take it off ebay and someone bid past the minimum asking so it automatically accepted, so the car is now sold.

So now I have no car, and no 4runner.

TL;DR - **** creed enterprises. The way they do business is embarrassing to the human race.

Its called walburg auto sales. He has a website and puts allot of his stuff on craigslist. I just drove by today and he still had the one I was eying but I can't get it. Its a 2000? Silver with 174K. 6600. Pretty clean to.

just checked it out, does look nice. that price seems almost suspiciously low. i may have to go check it out, thanks for the info. pos rep

I've looked at several vehicles that he has had and talked to the owner for about an hour last week when we had those couple inches of snow. He really knows his stuff when it comes to the runners and tacomas that he has. I just can't get another vehicle right now. Really want a 3rd gen, but have a 1 month old and a '12 runner. So my wife isn't working at the moment and have to wait a little longer to get one.
