WTB: 3rd Gen 4WD T4R $5-8k - LA/Socal or Seattle

Hey guys, I'm actively looking for a 3rd Gen (preferably 99-02) in the Socal area or Seattle area (got family up there). Ideally I'm looking at white, silver, or black but I'm open to other colors. I'm trying to stick around 150-180k mileage, but if it's immaculate condition I'll consider higher. Mild mods ok (3in lift max, 33in tires max). The 4WD is a must for me after chatting with people here, given the things I want to do with it. No preferences with trim - though who doesn't love that sport hood - and interior I don't have any preferences either.

I've been striking out with CL and want to go with someone whom I know has taken care of it as I intend to as well. Been wanting to join the 4runner family for some time now and am pretty excited. Seen some success stories here so hoping I can be another one! Thanks for the help guys!

Not mine, but may be worth a look. Appears to be a '99 Highlander in black, w/ e-locker. 204k on mileage, but looks to be a nice package.

Yo LBoogie! Did some browsing on craigslist to help another future T4R owner out! Here's some postings I found.

You may be able to haggle them down to $8k or less. The RR Diff Lock is probably what you want since from my understanding it'll lock only your rear axle! Looks super clean too + that hood scoop!!

Asking price for both is high, wouldn't hurt to throw them an offer though! The black one is really really clean.

Be sure to grab the carfax from them and check that the VIN is corresponding on all panels. I would also check for rust on the undercarriage. If it's a california car there shouldn't be any.

Perfect example of why decided not to buy a 3rd. Anything that isn't best to crap and they still want 9-10k. Places won't even loan that high on the vehicle and I'm not about to put 2-3k down so that I don't have negative equity.

I ended up getting one in Seattle - 2000 white limited with e locker, 172k miles for 8. Yeah top of my budget but I'm happy, I'll post pics soon. Thanks for all the help!
