WTB: 3rd gen 99-02 Sport - Columbia, SC

I am looking for a good condition 99-02 Sport. I am willing to travel up to 250 miles for the right one.

My old one was totaled and I am having the hardest time finding a new one. It would be nice to stay under 200k and I would love for the paint to be in good condition.

I'm assuming NJ is too far, but I have mine 2000 posted for sale with 143k on it Supercharged, New: lift, tires, timing, water pump, control arms, ball joints, battery, axel seals, wheel bearings. I believe in a week it will be going into the shop to fix 2 rust spots on the frame while I'm on vacation if you are interested.

Just a fyi, you might need to expand your search radius. I'm flying one way from KC to Denver to drive my new 3rd gen back home to KC this weekend. That's about 600 miles. Good luck with your search!

Did that 3rd gen happen to be the Forest Green Sport at around 140k miles? If so, nice catch. I'd definitely fly out for that one.

Call and talk with current owner.. put down a deposit.. etc. These days it's tough to figure out scams and crap though too. Hopefully you get lucky and find a reputable person on here. If you put down a deposit and they accept it - but then they sell it out from under you, that's big time bad karma... you could probably follow up with some sort of legal something 'er other. It's beyond my knowledge, but I'm sure others are more familiar.

I just read a horror story yesterday on the 3rd gen Facebook group. I wouldn’t be as worried if it was a dealership but then I would be getting reamed elsewhere.

I have an 02 SR5 4x4 that is in above average condition for its age. 216k miles, but has a lot of recent work done as preventative maintenance.

PM me for more info. I had it for sale here a couple months ago and actually had it sold but the buyer fell through.

I've got my 1998 for sale. 245k on the Chasis but only 150k on the engine. Been in the family for almost 18 years and I've had it for almost 9 years now.
