I have a friend wanting to get into the 4Runner world. He is looking for a stock height 3rd gen with decent miles. We live in Tennessee, looking for anyone close. Anyone selling in TN/GA area?

Well I guess it depends on your need.
I talked with this guy in Nashville and seems to be willing to negotiate. I found something closer to home though.

Well I currently have a check engine light for one of the transmission solenoids which makes it hard to sell. It is driving fine but I need to get that replaced first. The light shuts off and then comes back. I have checked the fluid numerous times and it seems great. I also did a filter change about a month ago to see if that would solve the issue.
Mine is a 2000 limited with e-locker. 168k miles. Silver exterior. New tires, shocks, radiator and external trans cooler. I have also changed out the fluids in the front and rear diffs, coolant, trans fluid, and transfer case fluid. I am wanting around $6500 for it if I sell it. I kinda fell in love with it again after I got 20.5 mpg's on a 300 mile trip the other day.

Sounds like you have maintained it pretty well. I will let him know about it and see what he says. The price may be a little more than what he is looking at but you never know. Thanks

Thanks for the help. My buddy just bought a '98 in Desert Dune (same color as mine) yesterday. Think he said it has around 200,000 on it. Now I just have to get him started on the forum.

Small world. Letting you guys know that I'm selling some 4runner parts on CL tonight/tomorrow. Two of the 5 star wheels plus a standard factory steel wheel with 265/70/16 new tire. If he finds a 4runner that needs those, I'll give you 1st shot.
I've been watching CL for a good 4runner, hard to find and moving fast! Best of luck!
