have you tried to remove them (PITA!)

I'm about to take mine off to replace with some bushwackers I just pulled the trigger on. However, I don't know how to get them off without ruining the clips or removing the fender (my plan was to just ruin the clips). Don't think they'd do you much good without the clips ($12-$20 on Ebay and I can't even figure out how one would install them). If you want them with broken clips I'm sure I could come off them really cheap + shipping.
