WTB 4th gen V8 4WD

Looking for a 4runner. I want 4th gen, V8, 4WD. Those are must haves. Everything else is a nice to have…like 2006-2008, 2005 preferred for the motor…but also like the cladded 2003's. Color not a concern, prefer maroon, silver, white, black…blue and tan would have to be a 'can't pass this up' deal. Tasteful mods cool too. Don't want SR5 with third row seating. Prefer Sport, but Limited good too.

Would like to keep the price under 15K…especially if you aren't in Utah or within a few hour drive as I'd have to come pick it up.

I have a car I'm selling, 2004 VW R32 with 38K miles…if anyone is interested in a swap, and have two people trying to get money. I'm not in a huge hurry, but once I sell my R32, I'll be in a little bigger hurry.

You can buy mine if you want. I have more pics and plenty of details. Not in a hurry to sell - not really officially selling, just throwing the idea around. Take a look at my album, I posted pics for another member a few days ago - it wasn't even washed when I took pics. Timing belt, water pump, etc. done at 100,000 - it's at about 112,000 now - running better than ever! (I took a Sport V8 4X4 and made it my own version of a limited with a few extras.)

Tried ksl.com? Us Utahns (and surrounding states) have their fantastic classified system ya know.

I've been on KSL the past couple days, specifically looking at 4th gens, and there were oodles of V8's under that price. Some as low as 11k I believe. The mpg hit almost makes them worth less than V6's.

I'm likely gonna try to get an 03/04 for under 10k this spring/summer. It can be done.

FYI the 06+ v8's usually get better gas mileage than the v6's. They are rated only 1 mpg higher.

Not sure about the 05 but I know the 06+ have the awesome vvti engine which added if I remember right 30+ hp and like 2 mpg more.

The MPG will never make them worth less than the V6 IMO - I've owned both. Go with a 4.7L if you can afford it - heck if you are really loaded just buy the 5.7L Landcruiser.

If you're concerned with MPG - buy a hybrid. I have one so I don't have to worry about my 4runner MPG. :biggrin2:
