You should widen your search to 96-00. All the interior and lighting pieces can be added later on with the money you save. As for the "sh1tty ABS", we've never ever experienced those issues. This is coming from an original owner. From what I understand, the ABS issues come from dirty sensors. With 96-98's being older I imagine the sensors would be dirtier.

Please do! I can understand where hes coming from. His main concern is "300 miles there, 300 miles back home, including another vehicle, that 900 miles. do the math thats like $250 in gas just for the drive. And what if we get there and something is wrong and doesnt work?"

Well, let your dad know something. I have been looking for my 4runner for almost a month now, with NO LIMIT to distance, and have come up with nothing. So, if he isnt willing to take a 6 hour drive, it might be a pretty long time before that runner shows up in your immediate area.

Tell your dad you would love to spend time with him taking a weekend road trip somewhere to get the runner. Dad's should love spending time with their sons...
