WTB used 4 Runner

I would to buy a 2000-2002 4 runner. I don't know much about them and have a few questions , and if someone could tell me the pros and cons of the 3rd gen. 4 runners

1) Limited & SR5, the difference
2) Looked Two 2001,
one had 2 floor shifters, the other only 1.
3)What is the average fuel mileage

Limited's usually come with leather seats and fake wood trim on the dash. Sr5's usually come with cloth seats, sometimes leather, and no fake wood trim on the dash. The one with two floor mounted shifters is 4wd, thats the one you want, if you want 4wd and trust me when buying a 4runner you do want 4wd.

Part time. Full time is garbage. Try to find an 02!

gas mileage

17-20 mpg in town would cover most of us.

20-25 on the highway would be in the ball park for most of us.

4 cylinders can be had up until 2000 and 5 speed manual transmissions until 2000.

2wheel drive and 4 cylinders will of course get slightly better mileage than a 4wd with the V6.

I would agree that the full time 4wd system is not the peppiest example of the 3rd gen 4Runners. {96-02 model years}

Would not go so far as to call it garbage....

I am kind of the same way about automatics in general... :bash:

I do know what ya mean I drove one of them once for a test drive. It was priced right but felt like a tank, just had no pep whatsoever.
