Just ordered the H16 Extreme LED Yellow Fog Lights and H11 Extreme LED Pro Low Beams for my 4Runner. I have been hating the stock halogens and really look forward to having better (the best) lighting.

Weather permitting, I’m installing my XenonDepot low and high beam LED’s this weekend. Any tips or good “install videos” out there? Looks easy enough, just want to make sure I’m all set ahead of time.

I installed my H11 Xtreme LED low beams last night and am super happy with them. Drove to work in the dark this morning and the difference from stock is night and day.

Just installed my H11 and 9005 LEDs today. Everything works as expected, but am waiting for nightfall to see these things really do their magic.

One little issue I had was the twist-cap that secures the connection with the DRL LED driver and the LED bulb was pre-installed backwards, thus preventing me from securing the connection properly. I've sent an inquiry to XD to see if this is something that can be resolved on their end.

Update (1/24/19): XD sent me a replacement DRL LED driver. Shout out to Drew for the assistance!

Ordered the Low Beam H11 HID Conversion Kit from XenonHID.com and it has been nothing but issues and headaches!

One side of the kit shuts off automatically. I replaced the bulb which corrected the problem for a few weeks, now the ballast has gone bad.

Not a quality product in my opinion.

Now that I've had the truck for a week, I was finally able to pull it into our shop yesterday afternoon (cabinet shop) to install the highs and lows. I got both LED kits, especially for the highs/drl I didn't want to screw around with the HID.

Install was straight forward, biggest pain was doing the work with the battery in place. Other than that it took me about an hour to do everything. All bulbs seem to be working great. Just need to drive it in the dark to notice the real difference.

I ordered LED low, high with DRL and yellow fogs before Christmas to get in on their sales and holiday coupon. They came in the week before Christmas but I was out of town, then sick and then it got too cold. Well I finally installed the high and lows last week. I did buy 2 projector dust caps so I would have a set that were not drilled if I had to go back to stock. After I drilled and put the cable assemblies in I thought that the grommets that go through the caps were way too loose. I ended up using silicon on both sides of the caps to make sure they were sealed good. The install took about 45 minutes since I had the caps already drilled and sealed. If you take the battery which I didn't do it will save some frustration and skinned hands on the driver side. So the highs and lows are in and seem to work fine. I think there is a lot more light. The fogs will have to wait until it's warmer. Not fond of laying on cold concrete.

Can someone help me think through this? I have the Pro LED kit and am on a road trip and suddenly one of my low beams is out? It’s only about 15 months old. Do I need to be troubleshooting or just order a new bulb and move on?

Yeah, that’s what I’ve got going on.

Anecdotally reporting that my H11 Xtreme LED Headlight Kit only lasted about 2.5 years -- one bulb burnt out.

Remaining bulb and drivers are fine but since you can't just replace a single bulb it seems, not worth it. But if they don't even last 3 years anyway, why bother.

Back to halogens for now while I figure out what next to do, if anything, for lighting.

Interested to hear what you think about going back to (H11? H9?) after living with different bulbs for a while. I tried all of the different drop-in options and always came back to the H9 swap being the most effective improvement / cost effective option. Having said that I had the H11s back in for a while in between sets and they weren't as bad as I had remembered.

Does the LED 5000K and HID 5000K bulbs match as in the color? I know previously, when running HID and a LED bulb, there was a difference in color I guess from one being a LED and one being a HID.

There LEDs is the same trash you can buy on amazon and ebay, The only difference is it is much cheaper on amazon and ebay. I spent over 100$ thinking I was buying quality interior LEDs with a company to stand by them but naw, just pick them up on amazon for much less (8.99 for 20) because you will get LED failures either way.

I can't speak for their interior LED products, but I recently installed the H11 LED kit from XD and the build quality is definitely miles above something you could get on Amazon. The flexible heatsink fins and indexable shrouds alone are a great feature for making sure that the diodes are sufficiently cooled and are focused properly in the projector housing. Plus, the ballast and the bulb all fit inside the headlight enclosure and you don't need to drill anything to fit wires through the bulb covers.

Anyone encountered an issue where you cannot click on the high beams? I can pull and hold the stalk to activate stock bulb high beams, but they won't click in and stay on.
