No, you do not need to use the relay harness as it's completely optional for the 4Runner. But to answer your question, if you are using the relay harness then each ballast would need its own.

Ordered mine this morning. Two years of sub-par light is enough for me lol.

Received and installed my extreme kit with Philips bulbs. Maybe I set too high of expectations but even though the output seems more significant, it is not overly so. It could be that I adjusted the lights too low, currently there are no signs of me blinding anyone at this level.

Normally you shouldn't have to adjust the lights after install but if you need to then I would compare the cutoff to your old halogen bulbs on a wall.

Mine were 6" over the lens height at 25', I dropped it to about 3" under. My Runner is lifted 2.5" in the front and 1.5 in the rear.

The light pattern covers approximately 50 yards in front of the vehicle with the LED element in the 3/9-o'clock position. I feel that the lighting pattern could be improved, but am holding off playing with the orientation and cutoff settings until after I lift and adjust the truck which is happening the weekend before New Year's Day.

With the high beams clocked at 3/9 it illuminates the road 200-250 yards out. The picture doesn't really show just how well the high beams illuminate the road. Suffice it to say they are a significant improvement over the stock halogens.

How would you compare your new H11 LED low beam lamps to the HID kit for output and beam? I mean i can see that the LED's are 1750 lumens vs the HID's 3200. But you list FC output on the LED's but not the HID's. So getting a good mental picture of the difference is difficult. The new LED says twice as much output as stock halogen, does that mean the HID is twice as much as the LED and 4times better than stock? I run BD lights for when I'm out in the country and REALLY need light so I'm leaning towards the LED for longevity over the HID's/Balasts.

did you make sure to angle them? I installed 10,000k HID's on my 2016 and had to lower the aim of the lights because you will blind people otherwise.

The HID upgrade kits would still be brighter than our Xtreme LED Pro kit in any color temperature. Because of this, you will get more light on the road and down the road vs the LED.
LED is about 30-50% brighter vs halogen (Depending on which ones) while HID is about 2-3x brighter than halogen.
