What year is the unit?

What kind of tuner are you considering? Are you looking to add a "functional" XM tuner with its own screen (which would push an audio signal to the AUX input of your head unit), or are you looking for a factory integrated unit that is controlled entirely by your head unit?
And do you have a stereo aux port in your center console?
And do you have a stereo aux port in your center console?
Are you set on it being XM? If so, can't help much since they don't appear to make a compatible unit anymore.
If you could get by with Sirius, then this is all you need:

I have a variation of that kit where I use a plug and play tuner that I already had (have it hidden in the glove box, it is totally controlled by the nav system/head unit) and can say that it looks and acts like factory installed satellite radio. With the above system you simply connect the included SCC1 Sirius tuner to the included TOY-SC1 Toyo/Lexus adapter, which in turn connects via factory-style DIN directly to the nav sys. You don't need any power or audio connections, and would leave your AUX IN port open for an MP3 player, or whatever.

It's the best How-To get at the back of Gen 4 factory stereos that I've seen - makes it realtively painless IMO and will be needed for "factory" integration of any sat radio, regardless of XM or Sirius brand.
