XM Radio and other external accessories

I have a concern..call me a worry wart but seriously. Here is a real life example to understand where this is coming from. I have the new Delphi XM radio (which I love), and when it's in the car I use the tape deck, at home any external speaker or headphone is sufficient. But lets say I go into a car, or get a car without a tape deck. Do I have to get one of those devices that uses a radio signal for one of the low FM channels to hear it, and that quality is hardly ever good. I don't want to be forced to buy a car stereo with XM. So I was hoping there are plans in the future to offer ports to plug in XM radio, MP3 Players, PDA's, etc.

Any plans of that?

Well most cars do not have a jack or aux input unless it is an aftermarket system. As for if you got a car without a tapedeck you could see if blitzsafe makes a plug for your headunit, or try the FM Modulator(its not that bad). If you got a 4th gen 4runner you could get a Scion HU, then pay the $$$ for the built in XM Radio tuner............

There lies a problem with your suggestion. I got the portable XM radio because I wanted the ability to have it in any car, and my house. But if you go with something permanently installed in your car, that is all you can use. Meaning, you are alowed one device per connection. It's like a cell phone, you cannot have two cell phones using the same number unless you want to pay for an additional fee.
