Xpel question

I have Xpel on my front end: Bumper, 1/3 Hood & Fenders, installed by an Xpel shop as well. The bumper w/ all its facets, nooks and crannies must've been a PITA to install.
Not noticeable on my Cement despite only 1/3 coverage. I think most people wouldn't know unless you pointed it out.

dealer wasn't expel but it sure was clear.

By "partial front from the dealer" does that mean the dealer actually installed it or it was put on at port by Toyota before it got to dealer? If the port put it on or dealer put the "Toyota" clear protection offering on yours I heard it is cheaper thinner product (like scotch tape) which is why I chose xpel for stronger protection but certainly I could see it looking different since it IS different. If the dealer did put it on at the dealership then the dealer should know what they used and be able to tell you. I actually saw a dealer up here actually install Xpel and put it on the sticker "XPEL" but they of course charge 3x as much as local autotrim shop and did crappy install job.
I have Xpel on all leading edges (bumper, front 30% hood, spoiler cup, side mirror painted caps, fenders as well as door edges and door handle cups). I had it done at reputable local auto trim shop I've used for decades and like all other posters in this thread am very happy... clear without being too noticeable... YES IT IS NOTICEABLE but not on casual observation you need to be right up close looking for it. For some people the clear protection bothers them and others it doesn't. I find if they follow contour of hood in curve then less noticeable than straight lines. I had older 3m product on last 4runner from 2006 and the 3m stuff was way thicker but still clear after 10 years.
Where did you have the Xpel done? I would just have your hood redone with the Xpel stuff. If you suspect the shop that did yours didn't use good stuff or it wasn't done well then I'd find someone else local who has it on their car or rig and ask them where theirs was done and perhaps try to see it so you can compare your Xpel treatment to theirs in person. If yours truly is less clear or in any other way subpar then with that information you might be able to get yours redone (do everything at same time).

Xpel Ultimate + is VERY clear. I am a Xpel installer at Doxon Toyota in Auburn WA. I can use any film and software that I want to. I have compared the other major PPF films and I continue to use Xpel. The Xpel coverage on our Toyota products is great too.
Having a good installer is a huge part of a paint protection film install too. The installer should know the proper way to prep the painted surface and know proper installation techniques. The customers should know how to properly take care of the PPF (paint protection film) after the installation. IMHO one of the worst things to do to PPF is to constantly run it wash it in a drive thru car wash. Especially a brushless one. If that soap will "melt" the dirt off your paint it cant be good for PPF either.
