XREAS removal of bracket #48507

Hello everyone. New to forum. I have a leaking xreas system on my 2005 4wd sport and went with the Bilstein 5100. My question is related to the rear shock absorber bracket removal, part #48507. I would like to use the new bushings that came with the shock but the bracket is oval as were the old bushings. I am hesitant to just pry it out without knowing for sure that is the preferred method. Thanks in advance

You just need to pry that bracket out. I went through this same issue. You won’t be able to get the new bushings/washers on the top of the 5100 without it being removed. It’s not needed for a non-xreas kit.
