Only reason i didnt go with gunmetal/antracite was bc my truck is already two tone and if i added anther color it would just be too much contrast...
lol ya they were in ok condition but way worse then they looked in the pics that they seller posted. I received them and was mad bc they were in pretty bad condition until i sanded the crack out of them.
ya i would rather have LX rims but they cost more so i figured id just stick with these and the satin clear actually ruined parts of the paint last night so i will be mounting them and wet sanding to take off the top layer and spray another 2 coats of satin black.
That's a big pile of mods you've got there... new brakes, tires, wheels, ultra guage, a/f sensor, trans cooler... you must have gotten a nice tax return.
Those wheels came out nice man. What did you mean when you said the satin clear messed up the paint?
lol actually no no tax return yet... Ive been spending money lately on guns which i just bought a sig 1911 22 about a month ago and just picked up a Ruger SR22 today. Just been busy with school and work and paying bills so thats why the mods stopped or a bit but there might be a few more on the way. Still working on getting the money and figuring out wat i want first.
Well my grandfather left the garage door open after i asked him not to and well it was a windy day and it blew in some dirt on the surface and so i took a towel and wiped it as best as i could but im guessing the dirt that was on there has some sort of oil or created a small amount of moisture, it created wrinkles in certain areas of the rims (all over variously).
It basically does not look like factory finish like it did so once i mount them im just gonna wet sand and spray a few light coats of satin black and just leave it without the clear. Whenever i paint clear i always have bad luck so its going to stay off.
Dude i have real guns... i have a Springfield XDM 9mm and Remington 870 12 GA shotgun, and WInchester 70 in 30-06. I plan to get a AR-15 in 556/.223 but the reason for the 22s is bc they are cheap to plink around with and if i really want i can take down small game.
