Well got home from work and decided to install the lights even though it was drizzling the entire time... The lights are much brighter and match my halos and projector beams perfectly. If i had to talk about the light output in terms of brightness id say it is around 5x brighter then the halogen bulbs that come in the Hella 500FFs and 3x brighter then Silverstars in the 500FFs.

Those are seriously bright. I might have to see if i can fit some in mine. Did you use a special kit for them? Cuz I know the hid kit I have has a plug that fits the factory lights to turn them on and off with the stock switch on the column.

YA basically i used my factory fog light switch on the column also but since i dont really have fog lights i spliced into the wire so that it only functions when my headlights and/or my halos are on. The kit i used on mine werent even the H3 like most guys get, it was the 9004/9007 one since it was from my DD and i just made it work.

Since i did use a 9004/9007 kit i do have the capability to do high/low so i might end up picking up a double flip switch to utilize the high beam also but not too sure bc i like the fact that its being used by the factory column switch

That is awesome you can use the switch on the column with those. So when you turn on your headlights those Hellas come on too?are you Not worried about blinding people?

well its wired to the fog switch on the column so i can turn it off...

The 4runner has been for sale since ive been eying an is300 but figured if i dont get around the amount im asking then im gonna keep it...

The HID kit i got from my old daily driver which was bought used but it is a DDM 9004/9007 35w kit...

Well just make some orders online to get some random items i needed... ordered some 231mm tundra calipers, brembo rotors, B&M tranny cooler, and O2 sensor. May pick up a few more items fairly soon but decided to spend my spare cash on a handgun i have been wanting and saw at the gun show today.

Well super excited since i just got everything in the mail... and to my amazement i received a full set of brake pads that look to be almost new with the calipers i bought off eBay. So total cost for my 231mm tundra brake upgrade in terms of hardware is $194.12 ($56.10 x 2 for the rotors and $40.96 x 2 for the calipers/brake pads)

Sunday is my only day off so hopefully ill get to knock out a few of these installs...

Pretty much the same as your light conversion - it's literally night and day.

Ya its been long overdue since my gf hates driving home from bars bc the brakes suck and the vibration since my current rotors are warped... Im hoping i can sell my 4runner calipers and pads for a decent amount.

Well its been a while since ive updated and still need to get more pics of everything but installed my 231mm Tundra Brakes about 3 weeks ago and im loving it so far... to me there wasnt a huge difference in braking but it does seem smoother. I painted them red to block potential rust and to make them look a little better then they did.

Cost:
$81.78 for the Calipers on eBay
$56.20/Brembo Rotor
$0 Caliper shipped with factory pads/shims (75% remaining)
Total Cost: $194.18

I also just added a Ultragauge scan tool into the 4runner so that i can diagnose any problems that may arise and so i can keep a close eye on my driving habits to adjust for better MPGs.

This past week thnx to the heads up from SCRunenr12, i picked up a set of 5 FZJ80 rims and my plan is to paint them black using Krylon Hammer Tough Flat Black. (They came off the truck pictured)

I also just picked up a set of practically brand new (less then 4k miles on them) Kelly Safari TSR in 315/75/16. I have been looking to buy some new tires and when i saw these i had to pick them up.

I have been talking to CombatT4R about getting my rock sliders welded on by him and so that should hopefully happen soon and with that said i went ahead and got a 48" hi-lift jack for myself.

Nice..Is it safe then to assume that we'll be seeing all these mounted by next week? I wanna see! Also did you remove your 2" BL like you planned?... i'm guessing not.

lol well as for the body lift my plan was to remove it and i hd to wait til i ordered a hi lift jack but during that time i ended up getting side tracked by school and finally ran into these tires and just couldnt pass them up.

As for mounting them im hoping to have them mounted within the next two weeks but just depends on when i will get a chance to paint the rims. I wanna paint them before i install the tires to ensure i get it all covered evenly and well.

lol ya i molested CL for close to 2 years before i found a practically new set.

Well started on cleaning the rims since there was a ton of grime on there. THe guy must have nvr cleaned the backs of them... and the front are in decent condition but will need alot of work before i can paint them.

This is wat they looked like after scrubbing my hand with degreaser and brake cleaner on them for an hour or two.

This is how it looks currently, after more scrubbing and wire brush on corded power drill for about 4 hours.

This is a very busy weekend for me since im working attending a wedding and plan to go to the gun show on sunday so im gonna try to fit these in between all of this so i can hopefully have them fully painted and dried by next sunday.

Update on wheels: So i decided to try to finish the rims this weekend so they could be nice and dry. They will be sitting in the garage getting plenty of time to cure and stick until next weekend.

Painting the rims was fun but changes were made while in the process of painting... started with self etching primer and then sprayed high temp bbq grill flat black and like the look but something felt that it was missing so i ran to the store and covered it with satin black. Still need to put satin clear over it and itll be officially completed.
