i dont need it either, its purely for look...it looks sort of utilitarian if that makes sense. anyways i payed 60 for the bars, 40 for the fairing, and 160 for the towers....canadian funds ofcourse....go to yakima.com
If it is just for looks, then you 'have to' add a surco Urban Rack. It complements the looks of the 4runner a lot. Especially a silver one like yours. The silver on the racks works perfect. Plus, Surco sells a cheap ($30) adapter to make it work with your Yakima instead of the ($100) it would cost to mount directly to the factory bars. And the basket itself is pretty cheap too.......should be $250 or less including shipping.

Here is the link to the manufacturer's website.

And here is a pic of it on FirstToy's Titanium runner on yota.

BTW, are you still happy with your racks, because I'm going to get some Lowriders to make my Mustangs old racks work on my runner?

where did you get your hood protector, looks very good and I have the same color 4R but it's a sport with the hood scoop and I am not sure if the hood protector would look good with it....

From this thread it looks like they are the same badges from the liftgate. He probably either debadged the rear or bought these from someone that did.

.

i just ordered a new badge from the liftgate, and put it on there....i must say it does look good, i just wanted mine to stand out a little from the other ones in town.

So, did you get a chance to check out that Surco Urban Basket that I linked to above? FirstToy's pics on yota take forever to load. Is it not your style? I forgot to note that my cost guess' are in US funds.

yesterday i saw a surco rack on a honda pilot, and i must say i really like this rack from the pictures on th internet. but now that i saw it in person it looks really stupid, it is way to shallow and doesnt even seem to serve that much purpose. so i think im gonna go with the safari rack from surco, i think it looks alot better but too bad its black...

Did I spark your desire for a basket or have you been considering it for a while?

Maybe you could get them to do a special silver safari basket for you. You could try and "butter them up" by pointing out that not only would it look great on all the Titanium 4runner and Highlanders but many of us also have silver roof rails and other accents. Plus you could offer to give them a picture of it installed. Just a thought, who knows if it would work. Bummer the Urban doesn't look very good in person. You sure it wasn't just the honda pilot? J/K

yeah the pilot does really bring anything down, but i was just focusing on the rack. yeah ive been considering getting one ever since i got my truck, i m just not sure how it would work with my snowboards in the winter time, i know they have adapters but im just not sure how it will look. as of lately ive been dumping my money into my chevelle so my runner has kinda been on the back burner and im also saving for a cruise in dec. so i need to conserve some funds... and yes i have thought about it in silver which is ideal for me, but i doubt i can coax anybody to paint it for free, since im sure most people that but that rack use it when serious off-roading. i wonder how much it would be to paint? probabaly would not be worth painting though

Westin Safari Light Bar - Color Keyed

Lyod,

Off the subject, did you order your Westin Safari Light Bar Color Keyed to match your vehicle or did you take it somewhere to get painted? Looks great.

For that very reason, I got the two of you confused. When josh was posting earlier I was thinking it was loyd. Stupid me.
