OK...so am not ready to replace both axles. Was going to do that next year before my long trip around Canada/Alaska/Etc. So for the time being bought the CVJ high angle boots. Well, they are actually two pieces. You have the boot then a rubber insert which I guess can be swapped out for other pieces for other models? Well, I tried putting them on and they would NOT sit right. The clamp just kept slipping off! So, with time not on my side I bought an OEM boot kit. Well, it is one piece but it is the same shape as the CVJ on the inside and the half moons are more round than oval for the indents and the outer portions actually round IN rather than OUT around the inner CV that goes into the diff (see pic). Were there two different types? I'm an 2006 V8 Sport. Figured all 4th Gens would be the same. The last boots I bought on Rock Auto fit just fine. I've attached a pic, which of you guys have the left and center? Or which ones have the far right, like mine? I guess I'll have to hit my LAPS to see what they have so I'm not rambling down to Overland Expo with a torn boot. And I have NO clue if my axles are OEM or not. I'm thinking probably not even though the guy I bought it from said he replaced them with OEM axles. Ugh
