I have a line on some FJ TRD springs that I am going to try to pick up this week. I am wanting those just to stiffen up the ride some (had an FJ, LOVED the way it rode both on and off the beaten path). I want to maintain X-REAS for the time being since it is working fine, but will replace it with standard stocks once they blow out a few years down the road.
Now..... I think I want to go the Daystar 2.5 inch route on a lift for the time being since it is affordable and I'll see if I even like it with a lift. If not, I'll just take it off and go back to stock. So basically my question is... can I go with the FJ Springs, keep the X-REAS and go with this particular lift setup:

Anybody know? I also need new tires as the factory installed tires are already looking bad and I am sure by the time the snow arrives I won't want to be riding on them. I've been looking into getting the BFG A/T's due to previous great experiences. But then I saw the General Grabber A/T's and they look just the same and I read good reviews on here. My stock tires are I believe 265/65/17, but for $139 a tire I can get the General Grabbers in size 265/70/17. Does that all sound like a setup that will look and function well? I won't be doing any massive offroading, but having a bit of extra lift would be very nice. Plus I like to be up a bit higher since so many people drive SUV's and vans around here. Any tips would be much appreciated!
