It is also surprising that a similar engine (luxus) has different plugs. I wonder what the tundera v8 calls for?

i changed the becuase im a performance freak and its a fairly cheap upgrade especially for those with 05 v8's. In addition, knowing that there is multiple cases of mixing of plugs, i knew that there was a good chance that i would have mixing and so why not standardize all of them. Obviously i did have the mix and its made a noticable improvment in the running of the truck.

i changed them because

I just noticed your mods and I see are using additives. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them. Additives are chemicals and they are the first thing to break down and cause contamination. Even WaterWetter (It is a goog product) causes brown foamy slime in your cooling system over time.

Just got back from taking the ride out to dinner tonight, and it seems like there is a little more in the midband. Seems like its firing alot stronger at high rpm too. Throttle response does seem better after a longer drive. It seems like it idles smoother too. Not bad results for ~$60 mod, and an hour of a nice warm Sunday afternoon.Casper said:OUT...
you should notice an improvment in midrange torque as well....
