After selling my 2007 4Runner Sport 4X4 in 2013 and regretting that day ever since, I was lucky to get back into a similar truck when my friend was selling his after nearly 9 years of ownership. I love the set-up too.
2006 4Runner Sport V8 4X4
122,500 miles, no accidents, 1 owner
Black with Black/Gray cloth interior
Oil pump/timing belt work completed in November
I DD a coupe so this will be a great supplement to the other car. My wife drives the Infiniti QX and that thing is just too big and heavy, it really makes simple errands a chore. I think the Toyota slots perfectly between the car and the giant SUV and is already my preferred mode of transportation. Yesterday I had a new Apple Play head unit installed as well as a rear view camera. Now I'm looking for a shop around Houston that could help with a evening lift up front and options for bigger tires. Any recommendations will be appreciated.

I don't know probably sometime earlier maybe around 9 Or 10
I do not have a welder, so hopefully the sliders are direct bolt-on

Picked up a 4Runner in July 2015, taken a lot of trips down along the Gulf coast, my buddies property in Boerne, and once out to Hidden Falls back when all but tires was stock.
I'll be keeping an eye on this thread for any Houston/Texas meetups, etc. Also enjoy beer and wrenching on things if anyone ever needs a hand! I have a modest, but growing, collection of tools.

you find a place? i am in the spring branch area (think i read you are as well) and I'm always looking out for your rig.
I haven't gone to a true detailer in Houston. I have been lazy and gone to Classic Hand Car Wash on Hwy 6 north of Clay Rd a few times. They charge around $34 for interior/exterior, but the attention to detail to both interior and exterior seems to be hit or miss. The first time i was pretty impressed and each time since i feel a little less....

Not yet, but probably next week I'll be taking it to Prestige Hand Car wash (http://www.prestigehandcarwash1.com/home.html) it's off Blalock Rd, just north of I10. The other day I went by and saw a few GTRs, and their reviews on google seemed ok.
I'm always in the lookout for other modified 5th gens, but I haven't seen many. Although I recently moved, I'm near Voss/Westheimer now.
I do all interior detailing myself. Exterior still looking for someone. I have an actual running list of possible detailers. PM me if your interested in getting it.
I'm about to tackle my first ever brake job. Calipers, Rotors and Pads. Anyone want to help??? I'll buy lunch
