Yokohama Announces Deal For OE Tires on 4Runner

Yoko announced a deal with Toyota to put Geolandar G96B tires in size P245/60R20 107H on the 2010 4Runner Ltd.

I have only seen Bridgestones on the LTD. so that's why I posted this. It's possible Canada got them first, so this may only be news for US buyers.

My Limited has a Oct. build date and was number 3525 off the assembly line and had the Yokohama Geolanders. Matter of fact every Limited,maybe 5 or 6 of them, I have seen in the Gulf States region has had the Yoko's.

How do you like the Blizzaks on there? Did you have a chance to run the original tires in some snow before you swapped and what can you tell about how they compare? (exluding the fact that the all-season tires would freeze at a higher temperature)

I have Yokohama Geolanders on my Limited and I am in Maryland

I have Bridgestones and my Limited was out of GST.

I have the Geolanders on my Limited and I'm in Virginia. I haven't seen any reviews on those tires. Are they any good?

Old thread but a bump anyway.
I have 60k on the Geolandars and they have proven to be an excellent tire so far.

Low road noise, handle deep snow/sheer ice just fine. (We go skiing at Crystal Mountain WA a lot)

I estimate that they have another 20k or so life left in them so I won't be replacing these until about 80k. :frog:

Like Ripsnort- I have not had any issues with the Geolanders on my Limited so far. I have about 30000 miles on my LE and hope to keep the OEM tires on until they wear out.

My 2011 Limited had the Geolanders on it and I got 52,000 miles out of them. Could have gotten slightly more. The only issue I had with them is tracking on grooved roads which are common on new highways in our area. The vehichle with these tires feels unstable especially at higher speeds. If you search other posts, you will find that this is a common complaint for them.

Just installed Blizzaks. Have not driven long distance yet on grooved roads. Milage seems to take a hit with them by 2 mpg. Otherwise they handle well. I will post when I drive over the grooved roads again.
