passenger side window does not work with master sw

I must start by saying I don't work well with electrical. my master switch will not work with passenger side window. I know the problem is where the wires pass through the driver side door, with the door open I can wiggle them and get the window to work. how hard is this to repair ? has anyone dealt with this? and how hard. I don't want to screw it up worse.

If it works when you wiggle the wires, it's a broken wire or a bad connector - I don't know how close the connector is to where you're wiggling. The right way (i.e. hard way) to fix it is to spend some time isolating exactly where it's broken, and replace just that section of wire. The easy answer is to scrounge a connector from the junkyard with a really long pigtail, cut off your existing wire and connector before where you think it's broken, and splice your new connector in with solder and heat shrink. If you don't want to learn to solder, you can cheat and use a crimp on butt connector.

It's just a window switch circuit, and not even a 100% necessary one, so think of this as a way to introduce yourself to electrical repair with almost zero risk of screwing anything up. Just remember to disc the battery before you start.
