yeah the face plate is like a white i believe. I have a white LED in the middle knob (temp control). Swatches are still pending sorry guys. I hope to see them by Thursday!

good news all! I got a new swatch book in so I should have most of the popular colors available again.
I need to test out the sizing to see if I can get more than one piece out of one swatch so i can send more. I'm also going to test out some more colors with the tinted clock to see which ones work the best. Give me a couple days and I'll get everything ready. I'll most likely order the full sheets of the ones that work the best.
Oh and the people that have been pm ing me previously get first dibs. Let me know and ill get my shiz together

I would try a photography shop. Ask for gels, these are used for changing the color of lighting. This is what you see on stage set ups that have all the different colored lights. They are often combined to make a whiter light.

Agreed. This is what I found as well. It would be great if we could get a list going of gels that work with their actual swatch name.

hey guys, yeah sorry I don't have any more gels that will work unless someone figures out how to work with that brownish tint on the clock cover. The reds seem to be the best!

I'm years late to this thread, but wanted to check in—I used a dark red camera flash filter gel, just like the swatches you are working with. However, I'm having the same issue with the clock being dim (red, of course, is one of the harder colors to see during daylight).
The swatch I used was not thick at all, it was super thin. Still, it made my clock face amber-ish. I am thinking now that I need to re-pin my clock since what I need now is more brightness, and my clock is 20 years old
Does soldering the pins make the clock brighter?

Anybody ever find an alternative to this BS color gel method? Hoping after 5+ years someone found something new. Spent $15 online for a sheet of this Roscolux light filter """gel""" and it looks no different than some orange cellophane tossed behind the lens, shit's a joke and a half. Does an excellent job at dimming the light too despite being maybe 0.005" thick. :redbrick:
