haha i hate the cold it puts me in that mood too, and yeah be careful though that plastic is so brittle when its cold. good luck man looking forward to seeing it

The colored plexiglass is limited in colors to red, blue, green, yellow, and orange. I tested the coors and they dont seem to be as great in color as urs... the only one that i liked was the red. I picked it up from an art supply store since they sell all my architectural model needs.

wow that looks pretty good! gosh my first attempt with the plastic was really bad. i cut it funny and you could totally see it in the day time.
but this is a nice alternate option!

THe only thing ive noticed is that it is substantially darker then before... today is was raining and somewhat dark outside so had the headlights on and could barely see the clock. Wasnt sure if ur stuff still made it fairly easy to see.

yeah it seems to be slightly darker with mine too. I can see it most of the time during the day except in direct sunlight, or while im wearing sunglasses it gets a little hard to see. but i think it was like that without the swatch too?
you should be able to at least see in in during a rain storm, I drive to school pretty early in the morning while its light enough to not really need my headlights but still dark to where I still use them for safety (if that makes sence?) but yeah it seems to be fine at that time of the day.
I dont wanna give you a sales pitch or anything, and this is a great idea you have, but im thinking your results are because of the thickness of the Plexiglas, That may make it somewhat darker? If i remember right when i had that purple plastic on there it was a lot harder to see during the day. plus it was somewhat blurry if you examined it real close. these things i have are designed to alter the color of a stage light while still producing quality light output. so im thinking the material and thickness makes it work differently?

Also, so when you say your selling the purple swatches does that make the clock purple or the purple makes it white? like when you say it makes those colors when i order Purple i will get a swatch that makes purple or its purple and makes white? I actually want to get one purple and one white as a matter of fact but ill pm you on that soon... haha

but yes you are correct most of the violets and purples will make a white however i do have a couple that will change it to a deep magenta, I also have a deep purple violet its called Skelton exotic sangria (one my fav's IMO it looks really cool)
and then i have a couple purples i haven't tested yet, they may give you a white with a purple tint or a light purple. I do have a couple that will absolutely give you a deep purple if thats what you want but they may be too dark. From what some of the guys here have experienced, the deep darker colors were harder to see during the day.

Hey man, I'm gonna need to get another swatch. What do you think is best now? Magenta seemed to add a bit too much pinkish color to it.
