yes sir! actually if you have a performing arts store around you you can get them for cheaper than that. but thanks for that link, its nice to have some different colors in case you get sick of one haha. although taking it apart all the time isnt much fun.

If any of you change the color another way post up some pics! im still waiting to see thoe blues!

I couldn't find one in my area. I got that swatch book but haven't had time to really play with it yet.

Yup, I don't need 300 filter samples though, just one...I mean 2.

Swatch color: Lavender
Result color: white ish grey

I guess I can post my picture here for those that dont look at my build.

The color is nice, but the swatch is not transpearent enough and thus the clock is hard to see during the day.

thanks for posting your pic that is great looking white though! im really surprised how close it is to your gauges. that does suck about the transparency though. so its not visible what so ever during the day?

Not at all on a sunny day, clock appears to be dead. Although, I can see it if its a cloudy day or at dusk/dawn.

I have quite a few blues left no Aztec that i could see but there are still are a ton of choices, everything from dark to light to greenish blue etc.

And as for the whites, i still have quite a few of those too.

Its so weird i think these things reproduce cause it seems like i always have the colors lol!

BTW anybody got any pics of their blue clocks?

aww man haha ok, I'll take a Nyle blue, and dark moon. unless you can find anything that is more similar to the aztec blue. and also a red one too, just to try it out and see.

yeah these are well known for burning out on a lot of people. you can buy the halogen bulb, or you can do an LED swap like what i have. just get your bulbs from a decent place like VLEDS. It's a 3mm neo wedge bass bulb

I used the left over piece you sent me. The other red you sent made a nice red to but it was darker. SO happy to have a red clock now.

I also solder in some new LEDs on the switches. =}

Yeah have some left both for the blue and white These are what colors i would recommend.

Aqua blue (prob gonna give you a lighter blue with a turquoise) a transparancy of 14%
christel blue a lighter blue 19%
Sothern Sky very light blue 24%
cobalt blue which is the darkest blue with only 4% transparency
then a Bonus Blue which is pretty cool it looks really dark but has about 13.5%

As for the White's we may have to experiment a little but we make it work. With white i use a violet or purple swatch I have these

Light Purple this will make it look like a cool white but the brownish cover over the clock may make give it a hint of warm white. For these i would recommend these:
Special Lavender 32% I think this will give you more of a solid white
Fisher Fuchsia 11% would give you a good white

I have a ton more with better transparency, just know the lower the number the harder its going to be able to see during the day,

What color did you use to get that color on your clock? I did an LED conversion like 10 years ago using a more archaic method of soldering 5 mm LEDs to wires and resistors. So glad that this time around theres an easier way of doing it. However, I didn't mean to ramble on. The clock was the only thing I couldn't get done back then and I'd like to get it all to match this time around...
