You know you're a Third Generation 4Runner owner when...

...when you wonder if the other 4Runners you drive by/behind/next to notices yours is cooler because it has the DRL and foglight mods.

You dream (or better said, you have a nightmare) about your 3rd Gen. getting smashed up by some idiot in a parking lot - but of course it's still drivable. So you drive it to dinner and park it outside the restaurant - while having dinner your 4Runner is broken into and the dash is ripped apart and the stereo stolen.

Perhaps that last cocktail before bed wasn't such a good idea ...

You forgot getting your cat stolen lol taking it this was a real dream of yours??? Lol

when your chevy, ford and dodge friends get stuck and are shocked when you are the one pulling them out

I was wheeling with a friend in a jacked up dodge power wagon with 3000 dollars worth of rubber on it.
took him over an hour and 15 tries and a come-a-long to get up one section of the trail, when he did he said ill come back down to help you.
I locked my diff, cruised up the trail and was at his rear bumper before he could even get out of his truck... with a beer in my hand... he was pisssed HAHA

When you're disappointed you only have a 1 mile drive to work. When you've spent more $ on your 4Runner you've had for two weeks than your previous vehicle you had for 7 months. (on good stuff not repairs)

Edit: Actually I spent almost as much on the new radio($195 with install) than I bought my last vehicle for(92? ford escort station wagon for $200). Can't remember the year. Shows how much I liked that car. lol

When your out wheeling and you see a bunch of Chevys with 8in body lifts (nothin against chevy owners) doing donuts in the flats and you tackle a hill that they wouldn't even dream of trying and they still think their cooler than you.:50cal:
Just happened to me...

When after every mod you've done you seriously believe no other car, truck, SUV is better than yours.......including luxury cars lol!!

Don't know if it was said yet but here it goes

People mistakenly call it a jeep and you get seriously offended....:mad2:

when you test drive the 2013 diesel toureg and get back into your 4runner with a sigh of happiness that your car electronics are not REMOTELY that complicated

when you first spot another 3rd generation 4Runner from afar, the first thing you look for is whether s/he removed the running boards...

The look on someones face when you tell them you have been driving it for 10 of its 13 years, got it when you were a junior in high school, and it's been wrecked 3 times.

Better to be mistaken by a Jeep than a Suzuki Vitara :redbrick: I almost turned around and left the guy hanging.

You know you're a third gen 4Runner owner when you manually close the driver side door lock and use the key fob to close the rest of the locks.

When you back out of garage EVERY morning and are amazed that there is STILL not a DROP of anything of a fluid nature on garage floor, with 224k on it! 6 months of ownership and my first drip of oil on oil pan has not grown enuf to "drop" to the earth. When you nap at work and dream of the wiring layout of new stereo, when you are pissed at work because someone parked between your office window and your machine, when you spend your whole break at work typing on a forum about how you know youre a 3rd gen 4runner etc etc etc....
