You know you're a Third Generation 4Runner owner when...

when you wonder if the owner of every 4runner you see with no running boards is someone you know on this forum..
 
when your (new) wife tells you over dinner that one of the reasons she fell in love with you is because you drive a 4runner and not a porsche

You know you own a 3rd gen 4runner when you work at a truck shop with the above policy and QUIT your job so that you can now work on your 4runner in the shop :bolt:

Go up to your boss and say "Hey boss can you fire me for a couple hours?" :shrug:
Either that, give your truck to a co-worker, then have him bring it in, then you work on it. Then have him give it back.. lol
 
When you can't decide if you would rather have your 4Runner in the garage or outside...

Garage: protected, out of the elements and harsh weather. Higher risk of scratching... but then you don't see it for days when you drive your other vehicle...

Outside, exposed, but where you can stare at it for hours when you move around the house... Or so that you can walk up to a window just for the reason of staring at it.

When you just CAN'T STOP SPENDING MONEY on it! It really does take ALL of my dough!

Sometimes, I almost miss the days of just having a car that I liked, but not enough that I would mod it.
 
when you get the "big truck syndrome" and yell at people around you that you're bigger than them, so you're going infront of them....
 
when you're told your 250,000+ mile 16 year old vehicle needs a few thousand dollars' worth of repairs soon and you get excited about making your truck EVEN BETTER

I do this all the time with passengers in my car - I'm like "oh, there's a 4Runner! That's a nice one! oooooh!" lol

Edit: I should clarify most everyone ignores me... haha. Sometimes it's awwwwkward!
