Or when you've never cried. Ever.
You know you're a Third Generation 4Runner owner when...
1. You look at other newer trucks/suvs and say mine is better. I look at the Honda Pilots & Nissan Pathfinders and say wtf. Soccer mom cars.
2. Wish you have better gas mileage, but you simply don't give a f- and keep driving, but still cursing at the crappy gas mileage...
3. Never going to sell your car, if you are its probably buying another 4Runner.
4. Think if you ever own a new BMW, Ranger Rover, or Mercedes, really now? Are you really going to take it off road and be comfortable driving your $60k+ cars into things that would damage it?

Mine wasn't for sag - it was because I kept adding armor and crap so needed HD coils. Really all I did was Stock to 890's to 891's. Maybe LC 8 wraps will be next!
**Back to subject - you know you drive a 3rd gen when you go out of your way to park next to another 3rd gen and wait for the owner just to have someone to talk mods with.
(I assume everyone's wives or significant others are sick of hearing about our trucks by now?)

1. When you look at all the mountains that are in your area and say "ya I can climb that mountain"
2. When you go off roardng with your friends that have modified 4th & 5th gen 4runners, an xterra, ram 2500 diesel, ram 1500 and jeep wrangler, and you can keep up with them and actually get through the trails easier with a mostly stock 3rd gen with locking rear diff.
3. When going out on the weekends involves a full tank of gas, some friends with their 4x4's and finding a new trail to explore.
As much as I miss my old 2000 Nissan Frontier 4x4 5 speed, and how reliable that beast was, I would have to say I probably will never trade or sell my 4runner cuz this is now my favorite vehicle I have ever owned. I am the third official owner but I bought it off my brother for $1200 cuz he went out and bought a BMW X5. I think I made out like a bandit. hahahahaha:rockon:

--When your co-worker has an 03 Jeep Grand Cherokee, with a 4" lift and still sits lower and has smaller tires than your stock 3rd gen.\

--When you pull up to an 05+ Taco and it looks like the same year range.
--When you break your neck looking at every 3rd gen without running boards to see if there is a T4R sticker or if you recognize it from the forum.

This is so me! Right now i'm trying to figure out the best way for the DRL leds in the filler panel under the head lights. All the new cars have them and i think it's bad ass!
