You know you're a Third Generation 4Runner owner when...

The day you bought your T4 you tried to haggle on the price and the salesman just laughed because he's had a dozen inquiries within the first 24 hours and knows it's guaranteed to be gone within a week at full sticker price.
And you know he's so spot on you don't even try to argue.

I pulled into Lowe's parking lot last weekend and parked 3-4 spaces away from another 3rd Gen. When I came out of the store, a guy was at my truck with his key in the door and a confused look on his face. As I got closer, I hit the unlock button on my FOB, the doors unlocked and told him his rig was a few spaces over. The look on his face was priceless.

I was so focused on what I needed in the store that I didn't realize how similar our Runners looked. He even commented that I was missing the rear driver side hub cap like he was. I laughed all the way home.

LOL. My old buddy that builds gtr's and lancers is over 6'5" and he always had to pop up the moonroof so he could sit up in his beast mode Galante vr4

They're in demand man. It's unreal. My 99' is still ticking. However, I stalled out at a stop light last week and it never turned back on lol. I got it back yesterday

..that after 530,000kms (330,000 miles) and picking up an '06 Ltd. replacement, the '98 is still my daily driver while the '06 sits in the garage collecting dust...
 
--When before you owned your T4R you were honestly considering getting some junkyard 3rd gen sideview mirrors to Frankenstein onto your '96 Exploder
--When if you ever need to get rid of your 3rd gen you Will be taking those mirrors with you for your next car
 
When all three of your children activity look for and find other 3rd gens on the road or in parking lots and gleefully point them out to you. They completely ignore all other 4Runner generations too.

I have no idea why they do this as I've never asked them to do it. They're just weird — like me.

That's news. I thought production ended at 3rd gen.LOL
 
When your 3 year old daughter walks right past the Subaru that you drove to the store in, and tries to get into a silver 3rd Gen that happened to park next to you.
